The prehistory of the Touraine ~ check out this site

One of the many images of Touraine Fossils on Dominique Millet's site

Here’s a great local site Fossils of the Touraine.

It’s written by Dominique Millet and, as well as some exquisite images of local fossils such as the one reproduced here, it includes timeline charts and maps of the Touraine showing the geological makeup of the region. Oh yes, there’s also a collection of delightful rural watercolours by Dominique.

It’s a fun and informative site  – enjoy exploring!
