18th Century Map of Montbazon on the Indre River, Touraine Region, France

Below are maps of Montbazon on the Indre River in the South Touraine, c1750-80.  The maps show the old spelling of the town, Monbazon. They come from the terrific online collection of maps, images and documents on the French Ministry of Culture’s web site.

I’ve written a further blog on Montbazon  here. It’s one of those South Touraine towns with waterways and weirs I always mean to stop at and explore….but……well….one day perhaps.
